Commercial Litigation Solicitor - Dispute Resolution

Our client, based in the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, is a full service law firm with a long history and tradition. In recent years the firm has committed to an ambitious period of growth in all their practice areas, whilst investing in their people to become a welcome working environment, geared to providing a first- class service to clients and allowing their people to achieve the highest standards.

The firm seeks to recruit a solicitor with between 2-6 years pqe. Clients will range from individuals, partnerships, limited companies from a variety of sectors.

The successful candidate will be expected to handle cases independently and support a wide range of commercial and property dispute matters. He/She will work collaboratively with colleagues in the company commercial, employment and commercial property teams to minimise litigation risks for existing clients and will work to resolve contractual disputes pre proceedings and also deal with contested matters up to trial.

It is essential to be able to demonstrate an up to date knowledge of CPR and the litigation process and ideally have a foundation in Company and Contract Law, Tort, and Property Law.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and the firm offer a comprehensive package.
