The Role

As the European Compliance and Regulatory Counsel, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the company adheres to European regulatory and compliance laws. Reporting to the Group Senior European Legal Counsel, you will provide strategic legal guidance, oversee compliance programs, and mitigate legal risks across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise senior management and internal departments on regulatory compliance matters.
  • Develop and implement compliance programs to align with evolving regulations.
  • Assist in the creation and review of company policies to ensure legal adherence.
  • Monitor, audit, and assess company practices to identify compliance risks and propose corrective actions.
  • Keep up to date with legal and regulatory developments, advising on necessary adjustments.
  • Support ESG reporting and regulatory development initiatives.
  • Assist with data privacy matters, including Data Privacy Impact Assessments and DSARs.
  • Provide legal support on health, safety, and environmental investigations.
  • Deliver training to employees on regulatory and compliance topics.
  • Collaborate with external legal advisors and regulatory bodies as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in regulatory compliance (corporate or in-house preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of European compliance laws and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal
  • IT literate with the ability to handle regulatory reporting.
