Clean Energy Lawyer (NQ - 7 PQE)

Location: Flexible across multiple UK offices

This top 50 law firm is seeking a talented and ambitious lawyer to join its Clean Energy team. They are looking for a candidate with experience in commercial contracts, commercial projects, and/or regulatory work within the clean energy sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for a lawyer at Newly Qualified (NQ) to 7 years PQE to join a dedicated energy team headed by experienced and passionate individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising on clean energy project developments, acquisitions, and disposals.
• Drafting and negotiating power purchase agreements, battery optimisation and tolling contracts, energy supply contracts, and biogas offtake arrangements.
• Advising on Ofgem licensing, electricity regulation, and grid connection arrangements.
• Working on innovative projects in solar PV, wind, hydro, battery storage, energy-from-waste, hydrogen, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A genuine interest in clean energy and renewable projects.
• Experience in transactional or regulatory matters in the sector.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• An understanding of low carbon support regimes and relevant energy technologies.
