Coaching Volunteer - Smart Works Birmingham

Smart Works are a UK charity that exists to empower all women who need help getting into work.

They use the power of high quality clothing and one-to-one coaching to help unemployed women fulfil their potential, get the job and transform their lives.

Smart Works are driven by the need. They will double in size by 2025 to help 10,000 women a year succeed across the UK.

In order to accomplish this, Smarts Works need more Coaching Volunteers.

Responsibilities include:

Help prepare the client for her job interview

• Help the client understand the role she is interviewing for and how her skills match up

• Boost the client's confidence in herself, her skills and her experience

• Explain what the employer is looking for and prepare her for the questions she will need to answer

• Give the client a better understanding of the interview process and what will be expected of her

• Help the client think about her own skills and interests and how to apply these to her future job search and career development if appropriate

• Signpost the client to other support organisations and programmes if necessary

Smart Works look for coaches who have 5 years of experience at senior management level, HR, or recruitment.

Each client gets a one-hour coaching session one-to-one.

I day a month minimum commitment.
