In-house Solicitor

Requirement:

This national sporting organisation in England that oversees various sports and activities is now recruiting for an in-house Solicitor to join its legal team.

The organisation:

The organisation is responsible for setting standards, organising events, supporting clubs, and promoting participation in sports across different levels, from beginners to elite athletes. Its focus is on developing and advancing these sports throughout the country.

Job role:

To provide comprehensive legal advice to the organisation and its subsidiaries. As well as supporting the Director of Legal in all aspects of the business including sporting, regulatory and compliance.

Key responsibilities:

The role involves providing comprehensive legal advice to all levels of the organisation and its group companies, including proposing solutions as needed. Responsibilities include assisting the Director of Legal with commercial contract reviews and drafting, negotiating contractual matters, and preparing standard form agreements. Additionally, maintaining the organisation's contract register, ensuring compliance with data protection legislation, and safeguarding the intellectual property database are key tasks.

Skill and experience required:

You will be a UK qualified Solicitor with 1+yrs PQE in commercial, company law, data protection and intellectual property.
