Position Overview
As Sole Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing strategic legal support on a wide range of commercial issues. Working closely with various departments, you will help drive the company’s legal strategy and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in the fast-evolving payments industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance on a broad spectrum of issues, including contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Support the organisation in identifying and mitigating legal risks, particularly in the payments and financial technology sectors.
• Develop and implement internal policies and procedures to support legal and regulatory compliance across the organization.

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualified Solicitor with 3+ years PQE, ideally with experience in a similar role within financial technology or a related industry.
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a practical and business-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
