Overview:
A well-regarded legal practice in Melton Mowbray is seeking a Newly Qualified Solicitor or an Experienced Paralegal to join their Private Client team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a busy caseload, focusing on Estate Administration, Wills, and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA). The successful candidate will gain valuable experience and have the opportunity to develop their career in Private Client law.
Role Overview:
As a member of the Private Client team, you will manage and assist with a range of private client matters, specifically focusing on Estate Administration, Wills, and LPAs. While the role does not include responsibilities for Deputyship or Trusts work, it will provide a solid foundation in core areas of Private Client practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estate Administration: Assisting with and managing the administration of estates, including preparing and submitting applications for grants of probate or letters of administration, managing assets, and assisting with the distribution of estates.
- Wills: Drafting and advising on wills, ensuring they meet legal requirements and accurately reflect the client's wishes.
- Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA): Preparing and advising on LPAs, supporting clients through the process of appointing attorneys and registering documents with the Office of the Public Guardian.
Candidate Requirements:
- For Newly Qualified Solicitors: Completed a training contract with experience in Private Client law, particularly in Estate Administration, Wills, and LPAs.
- For Experienced Paralegals: Significant experience in Private Client matters, with a strong focus on Estate Administration, Wills, and LPAs.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied caseload.
- Excellent client care skills, with a focus on building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive and positive approach to learning and development.
