Overview:
A well-established legal practice in Melton Mowbray is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join their team and take on a full and busy caseload. The firm is known for delivering high-quality legal services with a personal touch.
Role Overview:
As a Private Client Solicitor, you will manage a varied caseload, providing expert advice on all aspects of private client work, including Estate Administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Wills, Deputyships, and Trusts. This role is ideal for a driven and capable individual with over 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) who can manage cases with minimal supervision and deliver excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estate Administration: Handling the administration of estates, including preparing and submitting applications for grants of probate or letters of administration, managing assets, and distributing estates in accordance with the will or intestacy rules.
- Wills: Drafting and advising on wills.
- Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA): Preparing and advising on LPAs, guiding clients through the process of appointing attorneys and registering documents with the Office of the Public Guardian.
- Deputyships: Advising on and handling applications for deputyships under the Court of Protection, including managing ongoing deputyship responsibilities.
- Trusts: Advising on the creation and administration of trusts, including tax implications, trust management, and compliance with legal obligations.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years PQE in Private Client law.
- Strong experience in Estate Administration, Wills, LPAs, Deputyships, and Trusts.
- Excellent client care skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy caseload independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
